We need you

We are seeking great digital Course Builders with the technical ability and research-drive to translate cutting-edge learning designs into world class learning experiences on a range of platforms, including EdX, Canvas and Bridge.

You will possess excellent technical skills in HTML5 and CSS which enable you to produce world-class learning experiences. Your excellent course building skills will be driven by a passion for all-things digital; you will keep abreast of up-to-the-minute platform and learning technology developments and support colleagues across the organisation to understand these developments and maintain Proversity’s position at the cutting edge of digital learning.

To succeed in this role, you will need to be a skilled course builder with an exceptionally high bar of quality and a granular level of attention to detail. You will also be an excellent communicator who can build rapport with and have influence over a range of colleagues in the Learning Design and Delivery, Production and Technology Teams.

You will have experience of building world-class courses, ideally across a number of learning platforms. You will also have experience of QA-ing course builds and of generating data for reporting on the success of the learning platforms you have built.

To do

Course Building:

  • Interprets learning design from Course Atlases populated by the Learning Design team
  • Draws on technical skills - including HTML5 and CSS - to build world-class quality courses in EdX, Canvas and Bridge according to best practice in course authoring
  • Uses graphic design tools (e.g. Photoshop) to create web ready assets
  • Works with production to add media assets, e.g. video
  • Applies modern web standards and accessibility requirements to maximise access and engagement
  • Communicates and helps eliminate bugs in the learning platform with support from the Tech team

Research and Sharing:

  • Keeps abreast of cutting-edge developments in key third party tools / apps which enhance platform functionality and accelerates the speed and depth of learning
  • Identifies potential improvements to the learning platform and assists in developing implementation specifications for the Technology team
  • Supports the Learning Design team to understand the functionality of EdX, Canvas and Bridge to inform Learning Design and Delivery decisions
  • Where necessary, designs and delivers training sessions to clients to help them author their own courses and/or manage their live courses
  • Creates documentation (internal and external) outlining how to author courses and manage live courses

QA and Evaluation:

  • Generates data from course analytics for course evaluation, as required
  • Performs functional QA of other course builders’ work
  • Performs final content QA of other course Builders’ / Engineers’ work (against Course Atlas produced by Learning Design)

Course Administration and Support:

  • Enrolling learners on courses
  • Supporting the delivery of live events, e.g. discussion and event moderation
  • Supports account managers to understand and communicate the benefits of different learning platforms
